That's My Girl!

Have been getting a series of good news lately. First my brother was offered a job with Petronas, which means he will now be with us in Shah Alam. Soon am sure the whole family will be back here so all of use will be together again!

Today I found out that my niece Marjan scored 10As in her SPM! Woohoo! Am overjoyed with her achievement! Maybe now she can decide which course to pick...

Marjan - if you are reading this, I am so proud of you. Do what you like best and am sure you will shine in whatever you do :)

Exploring New Horizons

This is one of my personal KPI. I will attempt to go to places I have never been to before instead of constantly going to the same place over and over again. So now I'm sending good thoughts and hopefully I can go for Umrah, Wellington-New Zealand (to visit my cousin Sherin and perhaps also visit some LOTR sites) and New York. Doable? Here's to positive thinking :)

Lip Service

I haven't been bitching about my in-laws for quite sometime now - that coz I haven't been around them much. Last week, hubby announced that his 20-year old filthy rich niece who married a 45-year old divorced doctor with kids, will be celebrating her convocation in Melbourne and we (hubby and I) were invited. Flights & accomodation sponsored by them. The only thing is - that's the same time will be going to Bali (hubby won a trip there during his annual dinner). Hubby said we could instead go to Melbourne and cash in the Bali trip. I thought it was a rather good idea. Sure - am not a fan of his family but I wouldn't have to be around them the whole time. And if I am - well, that's why I have my netbook.

But somehow I had this nagging feeling that this trip ain't gonna happen. And sure enough, when hubby said yes to the trip, his niece said plans have been changed coz her dad couldn't go and coz of that, her mum didn't want to go and of course everyone else didn't want to go.

So there are two possible explanations to this. Either once they heard I wanted to go, they decided not to go or my hubby was trying to paint a nice picture of his family, he said I was invited, when I really wasn't.

So when spilled the beans, there were plenty of crying, screaming, history digging and my favourite - "ungkit-ing". And I told him under NO circumstance would I EVER want to be involved in his family events EVER AGAIN.
